hi it's me the self-assessed expert. i'm like... 99% sure this "rip" was done by Recoloring the SMB1 rip, by hand, to use the "SMBS palette" to their best guess... and then, it didn't even use THAT right, as the colors are ever so slightly darker/desaturated. this thing is kind of absurd
I have a self-assessed expert on Super Mario Bros. Special looking into it, they've found some issues with it, we'll see if they do a full re-rip.
can someone please re-rip mario or just remove this submission already. this sheet is terrible and if i recall correctly back when i made this the only proper "rip" here was crouching mario
@Sonicspritemaster Not only that, but Wario (and Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins as a whole) first appeared in 1992. But Super Mario Bros. Special released in 1986, predating Wario by 6 years.
@Kc64 Not quite. He does have yellow overalls, but the red hat, shirt, and shoes show that it's just a yellow Mario. (But he does look like a Simpson.)
