Oh. Okay.
The white on the sprites is actually very light gray, so it's still easy to pick them out. That's not to say that I'm fond of white backgrounds either, but it's technically fine in this case.
Not like I'm gonna use it or anything, but I think having the background's color be white is a very bad idea. It makes it harder to extract the sprites, as some parts of the drill's lighting seem to be white.
