did someone noticed that the continue sprites from sonic 1 the first one has no hands!?

Good thing the unused sprites were reused in Sonic Mania as they're just awesome.

Where Is The Proto type idle? Cause The Idle Is Smooth There Too
Some of the unused sprites on here aren't even part of The Cutting Room Floor's page for it. Same for its beta pages.
The unused running sprites look a lot better than the final game's, oddly enough.
