@Doc von Schmeltwick: I'm okay with this, as none of the bosses have official names as far as we know.
@Dolphman I know it sucks, but "Metal Sonic Kai" is just wrong, "Titan Metal Sonic" is Archie-exclusive, and anything else would be fancruft. Also, this works with the "[Zone name] Boss" format the Eggman bosses have anyways.

My current personal headcanon is this isn't a transformation at all, but rather another unique iteration of Mecha Sonic. Anyways, since there's no telling what this thing really is officially supposed to be, I've sent a revision request to rename it to the generic-yet-"better safe than sorry" title of "Final Boss."

@Tailikku, Ton, and TheMorningFlash15, as far as I know, there's no official name of this form of Metal Sonic (at least, not made public anyways). Hopefully the original design document on the character are stored somewhere within SEGA's privite archive; but, as of the time of this post, its true name remains a mystery.
Still the best classic boss, even if S3K is my preferred game
I gotta admit this boss looks pretty dope!
somehow this boss seems easier than the rest of them (Round 1 you just jump off the wall and spam hit it, Round 2 you just spindash into it at the right times, and Round 3 you need to spindash into it at the right times [easy due to how the system of rings works in this game])

@Ton Well Metal Sonic Kai is actually the name for vanilla Metal Sonic in this game, since Kai really means "rebuilt", as in Eggman rebuilt Metal for this outing
@Flash everything I can find says it's only called that in the Archieverse.
Really should be renamed "Titan Metal Sonic".
I really hope this form gets brought back in Sonic Mania.
