You can also get the armor by ramming the librarian's chair.
That special name is AXEARMOR. Basically it's a secret armor that replaces Alucard's sprite when equipped. It sucks and is only good for the novelty.
Yeah. I think you have to beat the game and put in a special name (Not unlike Richter mode) to get the Axelord armor.
You can play as an Axe Lord? What???
