his model here is the secret rings/ black knight design it was also used in the Olympic games pre 2020 honestly i think these designs for sonic and his friends look better than the current models used because they fix a lot of issues with the current ones
To me, he looks a lot like his Colors DS cutscene emotes
sonic's hair doesn't portray the usual 3-spine look (the upper spine is very unnoticable) and because of this it looks very off. i hate that they never change the position of his eyebrows, making him look like a mascot costume and not a living thing.
its due to it not being based off the promo render sonic model that you mostly see on the game boxes, this render model is based on the ingame sonic, which to me atleast looks like the m&s sonic model
That's what everyone's been saying: he looks off somehow, but they can't put their finger on it. I think it might be the flat lighting. Also, is it just me or are the eye positions of the third render misaligned? I guess to be consistent with Lost World's render ?.
As other people on Discord have said. Sonic looks a bit off compared to everyone else. Is it the shading or the angle of his head?
