Actually, you can if you downscale the render size. However I feel like Scott didn't want to do that since his other "pixel" games (even prior to FNaF) use this style, so I assume it was an intentional choice on his half.
He makes all his graphics in 3DS max, you can't really make pixel perfect with a 3D software
