There is also an unused text saying "FELL". I don't know if it's used or unused but I never saw it in game

@tent2 My guess is it's moreso a nod to game translations from the 90s. Because English is a commonly taught language in Japan, it wasn't uncommon for many games to still include a significant amount of English text, with in some cases translators sometimes changing the text anyway. A similar detail is present in the TP bar, where the font used for the percentage is different between languages despite communicating the exact same things.

@tent2 It was probably just because "friend" is simpler/more common, so more japanese people would know that.
