The Chicken looks like Tooky from Kirby's Dream Land. The Troopa appears to be replaced by the Pokemon Corsola, and "Bowser" looks like a member of the Beagle Boys dabbling in magic. Now why he has a wholly-unique palette is beyond me.
Are those evil penguins, and killer chickens?!
