Hey, it's Naked Zombie Sean Connery!

Huh. Thanks for the info. I was looking for a name to use with my soon-to-be-submitted Stage 4 Boss rip, and stumbled upon a text document that named it "Venusian Snakes". I wasn't sure if that was it's original name, but the link you sent says it checks out.
Do you know where I can find an Abarenbou Tengu/Zombie Nation manual pdf? I couldn't find one in any of my searches.

You might be right, the boss themes do show the boss names.

I planned on just calling this character "Oyagi" (The name of his boss theme, which translates into English as "Goat"), but I learned from an old hardcoregaming101.net review of the game that this is apparently a highly stylized interpretation of the American folk hero some of us are familiar with. How odd.
Also just for fun, I decided to write the credits text in Japanese. It translates as:
"Paul Bunyan"
Extracted by
Rui no Ryōshu (Louie of the Lords)
Credit is for the weak

Why is this guy named after the American giant lumberjack folk hero? XD

I'm more surprised he's actually called Paul Bunyan.

I've seen this guy before and I'm still surprised
