Someday, I may get back to this since I have better emulators now. And maybe rip the other 3 builds that include things like extra overworld character sprites. They all have different names, Wai Xing Zhan Shi is just the "final" build.
Unlike the actual PSIV, the grind on this is ridiculously brutal to make up for most dungeon maps being about two screens long. Also some bosses are in weird places to gatekeep that, like laShiec being in the Bio-Plant.

The initial, "complete" Waixing release was properly titled "Meng Huan Zhi Xing IV" (ES1006), followed by their own title screen hack re-release, "Wai Xing Zhan Shi 2" (ES1036). It features party members on the overworld, and more elaborate company screens, title screen and intro right out the gate.
This complete version got two title screen hacks by other companies: "Qian Nian De Zhong Jie" by CoolBoy, and "Xing Zhan Qing Yuan" by Henggedianzi.
The "early" versions of the game are the ES1007 and ES1038 numbers, also by Waixing, both simply titled Wai Xing Zhan Shi (the only difference being that ES1007 is in simplified chinese, and ES1038 is in traditional chinese afaik).

...I hope I'm right about all this at least, if the four original Waixing releases are actually all at varied states of completion, it could get pretty annoying.
