@Ton Yes, this explosion is only used for the Hyper Bomb, both by Mega Man and Bomb Man.
Yeah this is the explosion used for hyper bomb and killer bullet, the death explosion for any robot master just keeps going forever until it's entirely offscreen or the game forces all entities to despawn for either a screen transition or the end of the level

Actually yeah, I think this is the Hyper Bomb explosion and not the "you died" explosion since that has a much bigger radius and used Mega Man's palette in MM1.

Doesn't MM1 use Megaman's palette for his death? Or is this for something like the Hyper Bomb?
