The differences between the Japanese and English versions are subtle.
Most obviously the snowman that freezes all on-screen enemies (like StarTropics!) was replaced with a ball that has a 'P' on it.
The other change is the palette for Cake Land was changed from a purple-pink (34-24) to a more bubblegum-pink (35-25).
