I remember a glitch in the Japanese version where the box doesn't give you the GGF's diary and you get softlocked out of Magicant.
On the NES, it WAS a Prototype. It wasn't completed until years later when it was put on the Virtual Console, which is not the NES.
why is it called "prototype", like I guess that's true that EARTHBOUND BEGINNINGS is a prototype, but Mother isn't, so I don't think it should have prototype in it. As well, most if not all graphics would've been the same between this prototype and the un-made final version of Earthbound Beginnings
Evetually this got ported as Earthbound Beginnings in 2015 on the wii u eshop and later ported on the NES emulator in 2021 i think
@Raimbowyosh123 When it was planned to be released in the US as "Earth Bound" before being canned, it had a prototype version. It was eventually in the US again released 20-some years later, again renamed, this time as "Earthbound Beginnings."
Prototype?
I feel as though the title for this game should be "Earthbound Beginings/Mother", since the official name has been revealed.
