The hardware is 16 bits but music is 8 bit cuz the chip used is (from what i know) a modification of the chip SN76489 (weird choice for a handheld from late 90s, imo)
@ultra the xhog it can survive because it's a 16 bit handheld. lol
these sprites are so well drawn for an 8-bit styled game, i wonder how the hardware survived this

Knuckles just looks... wrong.
.......There's no such thing as "8/16-bit graphics" or music. The SYSTEM is 16-bit.

@TKC They aren't. THe NGPC was 16-bit.
