I actually debated that. But ultimately thought individual detailed portraits would possibly work better for the search system (I.E. someone looking for paleo sprites being able to find what they're looking for and this game via searching for "Coelacanth" or the like, VS everything just being landlocked behind the titles of "Chapter 1" "Chapter 2" ect.)
You could probably organize the creatures by chapters instead of having sheets with just a single sprite.
