@Mooshry Depends really... Sometimes that's all that can be done at this moment, sometimes it is a ripper only doing something just so that can be on the site (the title screens are often the easiest to rip, not always though and not all games have them). Sometimes the game itself doesn't use sprites but don't think it's that.
These old PC games are rather hard to rip from, sometimes you pretty much have to be a pretty good programmer to figure out how they are stored and have to "reverse-engineer" to rip the games. They are not like anything like modern PC games where usually there are files that can be opened or at least use a tool to extract. It just depends on the game.
