OK, there are actually several gnome (g)names with the "silent g" alliteration in the (g)notes. Gnorris is specifically said to be the one that helps you in the manual, though.
The kids are so uncanny valley, especially from a distance XD
@Dolphman In some of the notes left by Meen he calls him that. You have to fix the grammar to save the kids.
The only Zelda CDi characters with fake names I can think of are "Fari" (who is actually Lord Kiro) and "Ushrom." A surprising amount were named in a German guidebook.

Was that ever his actual name? It feels like a fan nickname to me, like certain characters in the Zelda CD-I games
