Thanks, added it to my collection of DOS Powerslave prototype builds.
The file is in good condition.
In fact, I found it on the CD of a French magazine: Joystick - Numéro 068 - Février 1996
Page 008 for the game photo: https://www.abandonware-magazines.org/affiche_mag.php?mag=30&num=618&album=oui
Download the CD-ROM here: https://www.abandonware-magazines.org/affiche_mag.php?mag=30&num=2503&album=oui
Click on the floppy disk icon.
Use UltraISO to extract the content.
You will find the "pwslave" folder on the CD-ROM.
I cannot help you any further: everything is there.

Oh, cool. Where'd you find this? All the files say they were last modified today on my end, and I'd like to see the originals if at all possible.
Yes, that’s probably why they were changed to red—it’s possible. I prefer them white, in their original colors. Anyway, here’s the link to the first beta (Beta 1 - 31/10/1995); enjoy.

Actually, now that I think of it, which prototype is this from?
I can understand why it was changed, the brown color makes it blend in with maps that predominantly use brown textures (I.E. a lot of the maps, because this game primarily takes place in a desert), but I still think it looks better.
