In 2018, the low-end version's source code was released, including several sprite sheets. Certain sprites in those WIP sheets ("Workprints") aren't included in the final game's assets.
What does workprint mean in this case?
Yay, it updated! I like how workprint Sonic is just Sonic 3 sprites but quality is SO low lol.

@Jammin What I meant was that it would have been better if the Sonic Unleashed game with those sprites had also come out on Nintendo DS as Advance ported to Java In this case, Sonic Unleashed in Java and also for Nintendo DS with that quality of Sprites that was used in Java

@Maxton667hunter You're probably thinking of Sonic Rush. Sonic Unleashed never had a port to the DS family.

If I'm honest, this game looked better on Nintendo DS or 3DS, since you have to remember that Java games have many errors, when I played it I had Glitches and collision errors,Like when one day I fell on a platform and the game didn't detect it and I fell on some spikes, I'm also glad that this cult,And don't over exploit it like Advance or Battle games

There are some very interesting unused sprites that are just left out... thank god someone left the "Everything" thing. Like, there are updated running rotating sprites in S3K and a sprite where he's getting electrified (I loved that scene in the original game)
