Seeing as how I was already working on ripping the character sprites from the sequel, I've gone ahead and re-ripped all of the character sprites for this game too. They now all have proper animation offsets, alternate palettes (fun fact -- the Thug's default appearance isn't even used!), and consistent animation naming.

Is it possible to get the sprites for the "last" boss, Sabuko?

Wow thanks for this!

Will you be able to get the sprites of the background characters and NPCs. Sorry if you get asked this a lot...

you're welcome!
I responded also. sorry if I was a bit lengthy :)

I forgot to update the YouTube channel assigned to that field, thanks for reminding me to do that. I just sent a PM.

1. the youtube linked to on your profile is terminated. unless you have another one?
2.I did not know I had PMs disabled. let me see if I can figure out how to enable them. I definitely do want that link! But, I don't use this site much, so sometimes I still have to find my way around. thanks for all the help so far. :)
edit: I believe I have just updated my settings to allow you to PM me if I am not mistaken. So send away!

I use Unity Assets Bundle Extractor to extract resources from Unity games. The version I have is 2.2stablec_32bit. I actually dumped the contents of the Switch version on a hacked Switch console via nxdumptool.
I would PM you my extraction except you have Private Messaging disabled. But I made a YouTube video about the sprites with a link in the description.

Could you mind telling me the name of which Unity extractor you used, and which version of it?
Unity Studio/asset studio, I've found, sometimes success depends which version you use, sometimes even an earlier version works better on the same game than a newer version, but also sometimes vice versa. There's also a completely different unity extractor that actually costs money, called "devxunity", it's a bit less rigid seeming to me but still gave me errors in the case of this game. Also, have you used it on the Steam version? Or only on the switch version (somehow, cause I don't have a switch and idk how you could even access the files on a switch game - it's just that I see you submitted to the switch section of this website)? Just in case maybe the Steam version is what's giving the error problem somehow.
At the very least, otherwise, would you mind uploading more of the characters? I'm especially wanting Ichika (she's a random enemy schoolgirl, the version with purple hair).
And tbh I spoiled myself on the ending (both the normal one and the secret one), and given what happened in it, that actually makes the idea of the boys becoming playable seem even more odd to me. Not that it bothers me though. Are they playable on the same save file or do you have to start a new game to use them?

I could extract the sprites using a Unity extractor without any issues.
Kunio and Riki are unlocked after beating the game at least once.

I was having trouble with the Unity extractors giving me lots of errors and things, so thank you whoever uploaded these, you saved the day (and saved me a lot of work)!
Also Kunio and Riki playable? Is that a big spoiler or just a miscategorization?

@Yoni Arousement I agree. Better off with that instead of Unreal Engine. Especially when Epic Game is still creating controversy lately. (Plus, Unreal Engine is overused)

I love it when games are made in Unity.

How often has Kunio-kun kept his name, anyways?

Well that was fast. Also, "BARF!!"
