I'm more relaxed about memejokes than most people here seem to be, but that one's an exception because it kind of has a tragic story behind it.
I noticed. Now if anyone here makes a cheap meme joke about Scuttlebug here, I'mma throttle 'em.
The striped bug next to Wiggler looks like a combination of Scuttlebug's designs from Super Mario 64 and its remake, but that's just a coincidence because according to Bootleg Games Wiki this came out in 1992.
Anyone know where the snorkle fish, the weird octopus, the striped bug thing, the ladybug, the butterfly, the pogo conch, and the frog came from? Or are they original?
