I thought they were some weird rhinos for the longest time
Guess I forgot then. The GG version was the only version I've completed so far, TBH.
They did appear in the 8-bit version.
And they don't appear in the 8-bit version at all, if memory serves me correctly, so they wouldn't be mentioned in that manual.
"Floating Ferrons block the only escape routes through Dr. Robotnik's lava-powered generators. Use the steam jets like flippers. Get help from the Cluckbirds to get to higher places. Destroy Dr. Robotnik's half-baked bosses in the Robo-Boiler Room!" That's what the manual says
As far as I can tell, they only got those names in the Archie comics, the manual doesn't name them.
I think they're called Hip and Hop in the manual?
