There are a lot of weird last minute decisions made by cutting the project into two games. Who really knows.

I don't get why they changed it (unless it was to save memory) I much perfer the name Mushroom Valley than Mushroom Hill.
@MarioMadness In Sonic 3 Alone the level is Called "Mushroom Valley" or "Zone" The "Zone" level is not playable for some reason :P
