@Murphmario i think the Dolphin and Seagulls weren't in Sonic 3 so that may be why
The reason why Picky was absent from Sonic 3 was probably because he was unused in sonic 2, i'm wondering why locky, wocky and tocky (eagle, monkey and turtle) from sonic 2 where absent aswell, but oh well it doesn't matter as mania brought all of them back
