I feel like the developers wanted to do more with this intro, because the intro music is a lot longer then the actual intro itself.
When i first played this, the chaos emerald just break for no reason
@Quad According to the JP manual, a Chaos Emerald got hit by a laser Eggman shot at Sonic and split into five.
I never understood this intro. Is that large emerald supposed to be the Master Emerald or just a regular one?
This looks like it was ripped from the Master System version.
