ScreenGet couldn't capture the screen without deleting the actual frames. "Redundant frames" were enabled, but it only took the emulator window with a white space. I tried AnimGet and it worked as expected (eliminating the need for GIFs or video). This also happens to be my first rip of a sprite with conventional animated frames (as opposed to the static ones from T&F Genesis); Thanks to these tools, I now have the skills and patience to rip them correctly.
