I guess that makes sense, still strange missing the frames in-between though.
@Tsukiru because unlike Sonic he doesn't start from a stand still position. He is already moving while starting his somersault.
Sonic and Knuckles share frames of a somersault animation, but Knuckles' is much shorter, which always striked me as weird.
