Courtesy credit should be common sense. Otherwise, you're just being a dick. Several games are very difficult (or at least monotonous) to rip.
@SegaSonic1 It's a very very old sheet where crediting the ripper for a rip was common at the time. So old that his email account is extremely likely to be dead or taken over by a spambot. We know that people at Sega/Sonic Team/Dimps did the sprites but back then... A few rippers did credit companies out of respect but the rest weren't bothered.

I think crediting the ripper doesn't make sense. SEGA made the sprites, not them
