@NARbluebird_YT,
1a. Probably because there are so many sprites, due to the model being pixelated because of the ds's resolution.
1b. WEG KNOW STOP SAYING THAT
2. To help with clarity for when some sprites are used

@Fawfulthegreat64, That would be better, yes, I'm just more accustomed to using sprites as I find it easier (I tried to make a model for Minecraft once and failed horribly, and it wasn't even that hard model wise =P) I just think it was kind of strange for him to just be giving up on it (I assume, I checked his Mario Fan Game Galaxy page and found nothing about Luigi except a custom Mr L sheet.)

Essentially, I agree that ripping the model animations is most likely the best move, I just find it strange that Larry Inc gave up on this sheet. (Sorry for a lengthy comment.)

I feel like this type of rip is a relic of the past tbh. Since it's actually a model, there isn't actual data in the files for frames of animation the way the contemporaries have (and 2D enemies in this game). So I'd imagine ripping it like this is particular tedious work when it's possible to just rip the model (which is ripped on TMR anyway).

I think that rather than ripping Luigi this way, maybe the play would be to rip the animations for Mario and Luigi and apply them to the model, and render a sheet like that, if we're going to have sheets of a model like this.

@Cabbage72 But they can be ripped as a sprite too.

Yeah, I don't get why two things are here:
1.) Mario is only Super Mario, along with the fact that these are sprites and not one model
2.) WHY ARE THERE PIPES, DOORS, PLATFORMS, AND CASTLE PIECES MIXED IN WITH THIS??

@CaptainGame17: In this case he's purely a 3D model. He just looks like a sprite due to being cut out from screenshots.

Yeah, we know, it's bit of a complicated case.

Wait, so Mario is a sprite and a 3D model? I don't get it..

@SonicTron Yeah, I knew that. This isn't those sheets, though.

imo this is very hard to use, its spaced in a way that it doesnt line up all the frames.

I know. Upscaling the resolution on an emulator only affects the models, and Peach is also a model. The enemies such as Koopas and Goombas are pre-rendered tho. If ya don't believe, I'll show you an image

@Jacc Jorep: But they're not pre-rendered if upscaling the emulator screen increases the resolution of said "sprites".

@SonicTron @DaneGaming @Doc von Schmeltwick @ Random Talking Bush
i'm going to say this. there are pre-rendered models that are then turned into sprites.

@SonicTron: If only Mario is a model, then why do we have so many rips in the "3D Enemies" section?

@SonicTron Also incorrect, many things have models. Notably, every boss.

I just found out that only MARIO is a model in this game, and an actual model at that. I found it out by using a high-res version of DesMuMe.

@SonicTron That is incorrect. It's a model.

Actually, these sprites are pre-rendered versions of SM64DS models. Well I think, anyway.
