@Ice That's also a model. The same model from 64DS. And unlike most of these, that has just so many possible directions there'd be no point.

nobody ripped the chain chomp
Apr 21, 2020, 8:44 PM
@James That would be impossible, summon RTB to explain why.

Are there any Princess Peach sprites?
Feb 5, 2020, 5:29 PM
Wish bowser was on here, as a 2D model
Aug 12, 2019, 2:04 AM
I hope one day we get the Kab omb in this sheet.

Mario is also technically a model and he still got ripped
May 31, 2019, 5:28 PM
@G01d3n_Merio why not rip it as sprites, i took screenshots and i can't finish the mega mushroom sprites, since they are 3d models, they take too long to rip

Nintendo altered the coincentration sprites from SM64DS to fit NSMB's game style.
May 18, 2019, 2:15 AM
mega mushroom is a model
May 11, 2019, 8:58 PM
and so, mega mushroom?
Mar 17, 2019, 3:42 PM
Coincentration had better sprites in NSMB and not SM64DS. Why can't they just port it over?

I used to think this game didn't use models that often, and then after watching a video of Mario fighting Bowser Jr. and Bowser Jr. facing the screen upon defeat made me realize that

I'm going to make a better backgrounds sheet because the one we have currently doesn't loop correctly and are missing portions.

Where are the pipes?
Aug 8, 2017, 4:18 AM
@Can'tThinkOfAName: They're on the World Map and Course HUD sheet.

Just a question, can someone point me towards the item sprites that you can see on the bottom screen of the DS?
Jul 18, 2017, 12:54 PM
since luigi is not here, though he's a playable character, we need a game called "Luigi Is Missing!"
May 5, 2017, 6:42 PM
Heck my life.
Mar 16, 2017, 2:26 AM
@Random Talking Bush could you share that model in the pic? :P

(And also note that just because we don't have 'em on The Models Resource doesn't mean they're pre-rendered.)

@RTB: Okay, so I was about to explain something, but as I typed it, I found out about how much of an idiot I am. I DO KNOW, however, that the playable characters in NSMBW, NSMBU/NSLU, & NSMB2 (not sure about NSMB2, though. Haven't played that one in forever. But you make a valid point. There is also a way to tell that Mario in NSMBU is a pre-render. Look at the Super Mario Maker beta footage. He is clearly a sprite. They use the same sprites in Mario Maker (well, not always *cough* Mario's swimming in SMB style *cough*), however it has been confirmed that NSMBU uses pre-renders. I apologize for my retarded outburst about Mario being a non-model. Now that I think of it, he did always look more 3D-ish to me. Guess that's why. ANYWAYS. Bottom line is: I'm sorry for not using 2 seconds of commonly known research before commenting.
Feb 16, 2017, 5:05 PM
@LakituBro: If that's the case then why are the sprites so pixelated? The ones that are actually pre-rendered (the Goombas and Koopa Troopas, and everything else in the specifically-separated 2D Enemies section) are smooth.

Plus, you know, we have most of the models ripped.

Do your research before making assumptions.

ATTENTION EVERYONE: Mario is actually not a model. Every NSMB game so far has used PRE-RENDERED SPRITES. The sprites look 3D, but are actually not. Everyone thinks games like this use models, but they don't. There's just a TON of sprites, and it makes it LOOK 3D, but it is really just heavy detail and some developers being awesome.

A bit late with the response, but I used a NDS emulator and removed the BG layer, then I put the game in a frame by frame mode and took 100s of screenshots or each animation.

I might try and use Photoshop to alter his colors to at least make a Fire Mario, if I have any spare time. I don't have the time to do any other characters. I made a custom Luigi a few years ago on MFGG.
