@DouglasTheGreatResource: I don't know why you decided to single out an off-hand comment of mine from five years ago to use that as fuel for your proverbial fire, but allow me to give additional context for this.

I've been helping out with the site for a little over fifteen years now (May 14th, 2007 to be exact -- https://web.archive.org/web/20070519063020/https://www.spriters-resource.com/ ), assisting with pretty much everything in one way or another -- working with the submission queues, moderating all four sites (Spriters, Models, Textures and Sounds) and the VG Resource forums, suggesting new features and fixes, cleaning up this and that, and sometimes (but not as often recently) submitting things on my own (including various tools for others to rip things themselves). Without my contributions to the site, it'd be a lot worse off overall, lemme tell you that.

There is a rule we've had on the site for the longest time that requests are disallowed in The VG Resource's site comments, and people tend to break that every single week. It's the whole reason there's a message directly in the comment box explaining as such, because the site comments were quickly devolving into nothing but requests. Music Video 123's comment which I replied to was just "WHERE'S ESCARGOON?", which he proceeded to delete himself after I replied to it. Also it's funny how you're borderline breaking said no-requesting rule by complaining about the lack of rips from Super Widget and Outlander... which is very much a request in itself.

And clearly you don't understand why we even have an approval system in the first place. The approval system was put in place to stop low-quality rips or stolen content from showing up on the site, but that being said there are way more approvals than there are rejections (how else do we manage to get a couple hundred submissions per weekly update here?). It's not that people, in your own words, "should spend more time on ripping sprites from lesser known games", this has never been the case (nor should you expect the site staff to do so). People rip from whatever they want to rip from, and if they don't rip from games like those you mentioned, how is that in any way our fault?

We don't need you to come in here and make proclamations about why you won't submit anything (or, judging from the rest of your post, CAN'T submit anything, due to quality?). Nobody is telling anyone what to rip. This site runs on good will and volunteers. Nobody cares about whatever silly bone you have to pick. Just go away.

In fact, you haven't always been nice with others on this site and I am surprised you are still in charge of the place! This is why I would never contribute anything for this site. I only come to scavenging this filthy treasure trove of graphics hoard run by people who should spend more time on ripping sprites from lesser known games like Super Widget, Outlander, instead of myself doing all the work. What makes you think you are so god damn perfect? I think you are just being cocky trying to pretend you're always the good guy here but you could have been a better person if you simply made this site more user friendly and be more open to people's customs and official rips instead of depending too much on silly approvals. Most of us preserving ripping folks don't need a phony judge to tell us what should we rip or not. I don't care how long you going to be around on this site, perhaps I think somebody should replace you and make this a better site for good lmao.
