@Doc von Schmeltwick Yeah, I was playing the game for a while and realized a bit ago that it's from SMB DX.
@Vexian This is an expanded version of Yoshi's sprites from Super Mario Bros. DX for the GBC.
Another thing, these sprites have 5 colors instead of 4 (one of the colors is transparency (or in this case blue (the blue color in the background))) but in original NES games you have to have an overlay in order to have more than 4 colors.
I found these sprites in a mod of Mari0 it's called Alesan99's Entities
