is awesome!
is awesome!
this is really really good! seems to go for a like. not after college but as a teen asriel but i think works really well! especially as a maybe unintentional??? antithesis to ralsei, who is this superficially comforting mirage of asriel
P.S. oh dear this comment got way longer than i expected!! terribly sorry
if i can share any feedback, the mouth looks a bit weird
the textbox icons look a little bit too flat, which is understandable!! it's hard to represent a goat snout (that long part with the nose many animals have) from this perspective! i think toriel's textbox sprites are a good example for this artstyle though
the mouth is limited the very bottom of the face and is slightly curved to match the head shape, to mimic what real goats are like! only, wider, for a different character design
this applies to the overworld sprites too! they sometimes look a bit too much like a big goofy smile instead of a snout
eg, the "happy" sprites' mouth does try to follow the like, snout shape, whereas the front-ish facing "happy feet!!" ones or the shoulder punch just kinda look like the snout is gone because of how close the mouth is to the rest of the face
and stuff like entering the dark world, asriel shaking his head, entering the teacup, i think are the same deal!
toriel's overworld sprites look a bit goofy for a similar reason, but i think less so because they have the mouth further from the eyes, and try to account for the snout whenever the head angle isn't head on (see "(unused) phone shake" and "sitting" from her sprite sheet for deltarune!)

Woah, I've been wondering what an older Asriel could look like, and this is perfect! I think the only thing it's really missing is a battle icon (or name). Excited to see how these'll compare to the official sprites.
@998TheNewOrchestra Thanks.
@Mec Burna Blasta Thank you! And yeah, I think there's a good chance that'll happen.
@KirbyLover2048 Thanks! I'd find it hilarious if people start using these in fan animations in the future, stuff like "DELTARUNE CHAPTER 7 LEGIT LEAK 2025". Either that or something more wholesome.
@ÿZEROLIGHT Asgore also makes the same face, actually.

I see a flowey face in there!
Mister Mike blows open the possibilities for deltarune fan-animations 2022 colorized (NOT FAKE)
ok jokes aside, these are REALLY cool!! You captured Asriel's sprites perfectly, and I like the usage of other characters' sprites like Susie's shoulder punch. Very well-done!

This is so great, I really hope Asriel enters The Dark World at some point
This is amazing!

That being said, I think the portraits could use some work too. Most of them are fine, but I think removing the teeth (fangs???) kind of detriments some of the faces, even if it's for a little more expressive humor. I also think Mike could move the chin up or down for specific expressions, but it's fine as-is.
The main issue I have is that final face, though. I don't like how it's a near-copy of Flowey's same face in UNDERTALE. Asgore showed the same emotion in another part of the game, but Mike's edit is more similar to Flowey than Asgore. No eyebrows, the eyes being full circles*, and the way the mouth is shaped (+ no sharp teeth again) just feels off-putting to me. If others think it's fine, that's alright, I just think it looks weird.
Last thing I'll say is that there's a couple of inconsistencies in the sheet (moreso nitpicks I guess). Asriel's pupil shape doesn't line up on some portrait sprites, and the hearts on the front of the bumper car aren't correct with the logo of deltarune (bottom heart should point down, not up). That's all of my feedback for now.
