By the way, thanks to anyone that has left recent compliments here. I won't be replying to them from now on (only so many ways to thank people, unfortunately...) unless I have more to say. But know that I do read comments here semi frequently, so I will catch them! And appreciate them with all my heart, hehe.
I'm assuming you mean in a slightly negative way, and I get it. They look a little weird, I'll admit. But I felt doing any other way (like widening the face) would look too large and not flow as well in a rotation.
Thanks, however! That's what happens when you over-analysis Yuda's work too much... It did feel weird to me to overwrite Yuda's original sprites heavily for some frames (barrel comes to mind), but having Tails' ears enlarge and shrink constantly would look odd. Even if the original sprites are perfectly S3 styled and official, they are meant to be animated with a smaller headed S2 Tails reuse, so if Tails was given extra time to be fully redone, I'd assume those frames would be edited too. ...and regardless, I wasn't gonna keep those small limbs, lol. Or not edit the transformation sprites. Those are the worst sprites in the entire game, in a heartbeat they definitely would've been reworked if not for the crunch.

I didn't edit them at all, so I didn't feel the need to include them in my sheet. Now to be fair, a little hypocritical of me considering I did include his tails (except for competition, whoops). But those I felt made some sense to keep since they're meant to be attached to Tails' actual sprites.
I do regardless apologize for not including them. Best anyone can do that I recommend is getting the original sprites from the official Sonic 3 sheet (preferably Paraemon's, Origins' are too dark to fit with mine unless you color correct) and slapping them on mine and saving it over for more convenient future use. Same applies to the competition tails.

wait hold on, where are the spindash/spin jump sprites?
fantastic!
Incredible work! One of the best Sonic 3 Tails that I have ever seen!
thaaaaaaaaaaanks!!!
the front facing sprites awfully remind me of my own attempt at trying this, aside from that i love how extremely faithful the sprites considering theres only a few sprites of tails being in the s3 style
No need for my permission. However, yes, feel free to!
hey may i use this for a exe thing i wanna try and see?
this is one of the coolest things i saw the last days, this is peak!
tails with a gun
Aw... I'm not sure about the best, but I appreciate you see these sprites this way.
Absolutely phenomenal sprite sheet. I think it might just be the best Sonic 3 Tails sheet I've seen. Bravo!
You're always very kind with your compliments, haha. I appreciate it! I personally recognize that face from Amazing Sonic Scene Creator 2, which is why I added a second frame to it like in that flash game. So goofy, lol. Never knew 'til fairly recently that a lot of these iconic custom sprites came from one source mainly. Too bad I don't have that same fondness for the site specifically, since I never visited it during its prime.
CA22's own implementation of those MFZ sprites in their sheets was what inspired me to do the same, actually. I have equal nostalgia for these sprites at this point, so I wanted to pay them my own tribute!

Oh this is beautiful! I love the addition of that Tails face in the bottom right section; really brings back fond memories of seeing goofy sprites on The Mystical Forest Zone!
Maybe one day, but not currently. Doing his twirl, barrel, and cylinder rotations was a pain for me and were the sprites that easily took the longest to get right (I'm still not quite proud of them in their current state, but oh well). So I'm very much worned out of doing such long animations.
And I'll have to add more for my version of the origins barrel animation too, cuz of my added frames! I guess the SSZ backwards hang would be simple at least. Thanks btw!

Ah ok then. Saves me wasting my time making an already existing mod. Can't wait to try it out when you reinstate it
This is really well done! Will any of the new animations from Origins be added in the future? (like looking up and down while rotating on the barrel)
no problem man, keep it up
