That's an absolutely spectacular job! I actually say this is a more faithful spritesheet than the one me and PixelMarioXP worked on - I'm surprised you included that extra quill from the 16-bit versions, which is really just a leftover from Regular Sonic's walking sprites - I say that really helps it look even more faithful, so bonus points there!
