I don't think that the yellow thing on the Power icon was part of the icon, I think it was an early selection UI (like, it'd appear around whatever one you're selecting)

I kinda like how the Skill card looks with that weird 3d triangle thing as an extra detail. I also think the Health Bar looks better than it does in the final game.
Huh. My guess was correct, with Sonic Battle's style built on Sonic Advance 2's. With this knowledge, the Metal I'm working on already has a Sonic Advance 2 Life Icon. Would be an easy conversion...
That's certainly an interesting Health Bar, nice and simple.
