This is amazing! This would actually be a great little addition to a Sonic game/hack. It's minor, but sometimes it's the small details that makes something special.

The smooth "1-Up" animation reminds me of Peppino's face in the HUD for Pizza Tower. Nice job!
Made this with the idea that the icon would react to various events happening onscreen, hence why there are multiple variants named after various animations.
