cool how

I made NES Paper Minecraft in libresprite with all the limitation of the nes

Bo Tie is trying to make these NES styled, not trying to make it look completely like the NES.

@Bo_Tie That's because the NES used one color for transparency

Also, most blocks use four colors, but the transparent ones use three.

@supersonic392 It isn't possible to show more than 8 palettes on a screen at once on an NES, and some blocks use two of those (e.g. grass blocks and some flowers), so it most blocks would need to be modified quite a bit, otherwise they wouldn't be able to display.

@DogToon64 but having it on a stage tile. megaman doesn't even do that

@supersonic392 Uh, no, it wouldn't. It's how Capcom did it for Mega Man and other Mega Man characters, and it works fine.

good job, i can name all of the blocks here that i know the names of.

@DogToon64 wouldn't that be a bit harsh on the rendering system of the NES

@SpirtZ Correct, 3 colors and 1 transparent. Although, you could make a second layer like Capcom did for Mega Man's sprites.

I attempted to make a texture pack a while back with the NES palette, but it's easy to say that it didn't go well. With the three color (and one transparent color?) limitation, it's extremely difficult if not impossible to make certain blocks look recognizable.
You managed to pull through for the most part however, so good job!
