Really? I didn't know that, since I never played the arcade version. The sheet I used for reference must've been either the NES version or an earlier take of the arcade page you've linked me to. That looks like something I can add relatively quickly.

With the mono skin color, it was also done since I usually mix-and-match the most appealing characteristics or ideas across different official designs for the customs.

Technically, the more ridiculous sheets became stylized, since this and the other two arcade enemy customs precede many of the sheets I submitted here. But I see what you're getting at- I should've created this and Sidestepper to higher quality for the Spriter's Resource upload.

They come out of their shells if left alone long enough, at which point they'll kick their shell back over ad climb back inside.

Anyways, the designs have gone beyond "stylized" and straight into "ridiculous."

I thought the beaks would look ugly if they were a different color.
There's no shell-less version because none of the original sprites I've seen feature Shellcreeper out of its shell.

I know- it's strange taking liberties with one detail, but staying true to another.

Not....really? They had olive green beaks and full eyes. Also, why no shell-less version?

Ooh, it's based on the Boxart & Cabinet artwork, Neat!
