To be fair, this is SMM2-based, and SMM2 doesn't care about conforming to technical limitations much of the time.
Nice sprites, though considering how SML backgrounds are typically mostly white, I don't think enemies like the Koopa Troopas or Bloopers would be very recognizable in game.
