SUPER MARIO MAKER!!!!

somehow this is the most luigi-looking smb1 sprite ive seen and oh wow you even got the floaty jump from smb2 going

i have no idea how you did it. you made me actually like a luigi SMB1 sprite sheet this is fantastic

His moustache makes him look so happy!

probably the best SMB1 edit I've seen for Luigi yet

Luigi, Luigi, Oh Yeah, Oh *Fall*

what is this like the 10th one on the site
(this looks nice)

This was specifically challenging myself to make a different looking Luigi, while constricting myself to the same size as Mario in tiles. (16x16 for small, 16x32 for big) I do a similar trick that all-stars does and just make Luigi look taller by making his head taller, and moving up stuff like his arms. It's all an illusion!
The mustache was changed to make it look closer to the difference between Mario and Luigi's mustaches in modern games, though I did notice immediately that it makes him look happy. Spoiler:I blame Dorkly
The first jump frame is based on Weird Mario (Mario Maker 1).
I chose blue as the shirt color because the dark green that Mario uses didn't look right, but you could probably make it work. Another idea could be using the colors from the Mario OVA. (Yellow and Blue)
Some other frames just use chunks from Mario, but that's to be expected.
The small crouch frame, big death frame, and the front facing frames were made specifically for the SMB1 Remastered mod. This does not use maker colors, these sprites use Wikipedia's version of the NES palette, which is why that mod may look off. (I'm unsure how to convert the colors to the maker colors, since it seems there is no set way to do so.)
The hardest sprite to make on this sheet was the skidding sprite! I didn't want to copy Mario, though that's what I ended up doing, just swapping the legs.
