ive actually made a smm mod that uses my own assets that look almost exactly the same as this, but very nice job i think you made it much better than mine :P
If Nintendo didn't care about the limitations of the NES while developing Super Mario Maker 1:
I know this idea sounds like something I'd think while on fuzzies but what if Super Mario Maker had an option like the day/night toggle called "enable glossiness" that made the levels look like this
i personally think this "style" stands out more what we got at the end.
