i like how the non-enterable pipes have a filled lid, while the enterable pipe has a mostly open lid, and the one pipe you cant enter but you can exit out has a lid something inbetween of the former two

Well, in all honesty, I'm not really the biggest fan of this.
It's pretty good, but it just somehow seems wrong to me.
I mean, everything being fake? I get that the objects in SMB are static, but I don't think they're fake.
And the colors are darker, and off compared to the originals.
But it's a pretty good sprite sheet though.

I really like this! Reminds me of the 3D NES Emulator from a few years back. It'd be nice to see other assets from SMB1 in a 2.5D style, but otherwise it's great the way it is.
And yeah, I can totally see this being used in a DKC Rom Hack.

I do like that the level is like a stage set, very cool idea! Nice enough of you to put the individual tiles/parts too!
There is something satisfying about looking at this. It feels like more than just 1-1, but not something totally unfamiliar. Nice work!

Interesting take of 1-1. I want to see some kind of rom hack for DKC that is 8-bit with simaler looking stages like this.
