@Cabbage Reznor was the only miniboss in NSMB2, just sometimes in varying amounts. We're trying to talk variety here.

I'm honestly surprised they never brought them back as mini-bosses, given they had a random Boss Sumo Bro in NSMBU. Makes me wonder if they planned to do something like that in every world, but it fell through.
Remember when the New Super Mario Bros games had cool and unique bosses? Good times.
