Technically, Banon should have Chocobo riding sprites as well, since the party has access to a hidden Chocobo stable while he's in the party. They didn't notice in the SNES version so his sprite kind of explodes if you ride while Banon, and on GBA he just uses Terra's riding sprites, but they did finally give Banon unique riding sprites in pixel remaster
