Yep. Each game he goes for a different motif.
DKC - His regular self.
DKC2 - Pirate captain (Even if he's already a pirate king)
DKC3 - Dr. Frankenstein and the Monster as one costume. (Wearing the iconic Boris Karloff Monster scalp and neck bolts with a mad scientist lab coat)
DK64 - Boxing champ.

@Noah That was a mistake on HAL's part (and not a change in the Japanese version, as is often incorrectly assumed). In the DK games and everything Rare made, it's clear they're the same person.
Actually, according to Smash Brawl, he's actually King K. Rool's brother. Wouldn't he have his own section? Just wonderin' 🤔
