@E-Tank_4280J: Presumably, Guts Man's icon counts partially as a background object with a small section of his sprite overlayed instead of being a fully-assembled sprite like the others, so that he doesn't cause sprite flickering on the select screen due to the scanline sprite limitations that the NES has. |
