I don't think there were too many differences for the first game but do know the sequels to both split off into different paths. Sports games are VERY LOW in terms of what people want to rip from so don't expect many rips from the Famista series/RBI Baseball series for a long time. There's only a few who are willing and many of the rippers don't come anymore (many were in fact for a ripping project done a few years ago to get as many NES games as possible). It's not to say that it won't happen but chances are low, even a title screen is probably what you might just get unless someone passionate comes along or likes the game enough. Some other iconic sports games such as NHL 94, Sensible World of Soccer, ISS Deluxe have no rips since tSR first started around 20 years ago and the NES Blades of Steel rips were imported from another site (doubt we get more Blades of Steel either, looked at the GB ROM and that's unrippable). Only more recently we have some FIFA/PES rips and may see some more Joe Montana and Madden too. Also as someone who does rip from sports games, don't expect to see much stadium rips either. Even had to abandon so many (Baseball GB, Bo Jackson Baseball GB, Cal Ripken Baseball SNES, Super Bases Loaded 3 and that's just baseball nevermind basketball, football both kinds, hockey and even golf) just because there's no cheats to make sure that all of the stadium is ripped as you can only control the camera so much and background viewers don't always make it easy especially if it scrolls making looking like a cross hatch. Plus there's a possibility of crowd animations too. Not so much on the older ones but more when you get to the 16-bit consoles. |

It was probably a mistransliteration of "fortune" rather than a reference to the old programming language. (Also, if decade-plus memory serves, Fortran-Luigi is named Ragamiicho.) |
