| Feb 13, 2025 2:54 PM | Yawackhary | Game: Toy Story | Genesis version. It is also one of the few times of recommending the PAL version due to the difficulty select option. The only plus about the SNES version is outside of the opening/credits, the soundtrack is just a bit better and even then the MD version has a few extra songs that are not in the SNES version (Level 1 with drums, Level Complete, Woody on Fire, Continue, Game Over). A shame that Matt Furniss didn't work on this otherwise it would be an easy win for the MD. Besides when it comes to Traveller's Tales games, the Genesis/Mega Drive version is pretty much the lead console. Mega CD ports were enhanced (sadly Toy Story was just too late to receive one and too early to get a PS1 port) with the same for PS1/Saturn further down the line while SNES versions had loading times (technically decompressing times), worse collision detection/controls and cut backs, usually cutting out levels or parts of levels. |

Since the version 3.17 update specifically the folder for sprites is locked out likely by Square Enix cause they either wanted to hide something specific or they just got smart about it. Either way all the currently released characters from the updated version of Morena and after her are unable to be posted. Please be patient as I'm sure its frustrating not being able to get them but there really isn't anything that can be done if SQEX has chosen to block datamining out. |
